Can I start a testosterone treatment plan with you after the consultation?

Yes. Providing your blood test does not show high levels, and that our team thinks it is safe to prescribe you can start testosterone with us.

Which testosterone treatments do you offer?

We offer all testosterone treatments which are routinely offered to women. Your clinician can talk you through the differences, and you can choose which treatment to start. Or if you know what you would like to start, you can tell us in your testosterone assessment form and we will prescribe based on that.

How long does it take for the blood test to arrive?

Your test will arrive 2-3 days after payment.

How do I know if you need an appointment?

Once our doctors have received your testosterone assessment and your blood test results, we will let you know whether you need an appointment to start treatment. If you don't need an appointment, we will prescribe for you and you can choose to start a plan. If you need, or want, an appointment before starting treatment we will book you into that free of charge.

When do I book into my appointment, if it's needed?

As soon as we get your results back, someone will contact you to book into your complimentary consultation. You will be able to quickly book in at a convenient time for you.

Do I get my results before my complimentary appointment?

As soon as your results are in, we invite you to your appointment. After your appointment, your doctor will then share your results with you along with a summary of what was discussed.

How does the Tasso device work?

You simply press the device onto your arm, with the tube attached, and it gently withdraws the blood. The video on this page explains how it works.

Why are the tests not on finger prick?

In general, many people find finger prick tests hard to do. We believe healthcare should be easy, and convenient, that’s why we have chosen to use the Tasso collection device.All the tests included having been validated on the Tasso device, and we test using a UKAS accredited lab.

Can I get a venous draw instead?

Please contact info@joinvoy.com or ask on whatsapp and we can arrange that for you, but there are additional charges for venous draws.

Is this test a diagnosis for perimenopause?

There are not clear “diagnostic tests” for perimenopause, but by ruling out other conditions that could cause symptoms, doctors can be more sure that hormones are the cause.

What if I can’t collect enough blood, or my results can’t be processed?

We understand that at-home blood collection can sometimes be tricky, and we’ll support you however we can to make it easier. If you’re unable to collect enough blood, or if your sample can’t be processed once it reaches the lab, we’ll send you one replacement kit free of charge. If you need a second replacement kit after that, there will be a fee to cover the cost of the test.

What happens if I label my kit incorrectly?

To make sure your results are accurate and safe, your sample must match the name and date of birth you provided when ordering. This helps the lab process your test correctly and follow regulatory standards. If a replacement kit is needed because the details don’t match, a new kit will need to be purchased.

Take your sample and return your kit

Your test kit includes everything you need, with clear written instructions and a short video to guide you through the process. You’ll use a Tasso device, which is placed on your upper arm to collect your blood sample safely and easily.

For the start testosterone blood test, you’ll take one sample. Once you’ve finished, pack your kit following the instructions, seal it in the prepaid envelope, and post it back via a Royal Mail post box.

We’ll process your results within 2–3 days of receiving your sample. Our care team is always available if you need support at any point.

Complete your online assessment form

We will email you your free testosterone assessment form. You need to complete this, so that we can assess your suitability to start testosterone once we have your blood test results.

If it's safe to prescribe, we will issue you a prescription so that you can quickly start testosterone. If you'd like to discuss starting with a doctor, or there is something in your health history which needs a discussion, you can book into a 20-minute doctors appointment. This is included in the price.

If you need the appointment, it is 20-minutes long, and gives you the chance to get your questions answered by an expert in women's health. Our clinicians will also talk you through what we offer and how we can help.

Receive your results and clinician letter

Your results will be emailed to you in a PDF, along with your clinic letter from your appointment. You can then share this information with your own GP, if you would like to.
